Great Snack Ideas For the Classroom

!±8± Great Snack Ideas For the Classroom

Pre-schoolers and elementary students alike need a little pick-me-up now and then. Whether you need to send in treats on a regular schedule, or you have volunteered to help out with a special event, a special snack from this list is sure to please. Depending on how festive you want the occasion to be, you can package snacks in plain zip top bags, decorate your own bags, or purchase special treat bags that are designed to suit the occasion and then tie them up with pieces of ribbon when you have them filled.

Make sure you check with your school or teacher to see if there are any foods they don't allow at snack time. There are many restrictions in schools that don't allow you to serve certain types of foods to children, which can make it difficult to plan for snacks that are fun for kids. Many schools don't allow you to serve any peanuts or peanut butter due to allergy severity, and you may not have the option of giving kids foods that contain added sugar. If you are restricted to those foods that are deemed "safe and healthy", then you will need to add even more imagination to the presentation of the food to make it appealing to small children.

Great snack ideas:

Rice Krispie Treats are a favorite of children and adults alike. If you want to give them something besides the typical Rice Krispie square, mix up a big batch of the treats and add colored Krispies or food coloring. You do not need to be restricted to rice cereal-try a variety of different cereals for a different look, or go whole grain for a healthy, energy packed choice. Use cookie cutters in fun shapes or for the holiday to cut out the treats and you can add a popsicle stick to make eating them easier and neater!

Popcorn balls are a favorite treat, especially in the fall. Try mixing in a few M&M's and putting the ball on a stick. You can find many recipes online for caramel, cinnamon, and other flavored popcorn balls to give kids something a little less traditional. Popcorn may not be suitable for kids under the age of five, so be sure to check with your child's teacher if needed.

Veggies with Dip is a great snack for kids. One of the things that increases children's taste for vegetables is ranch dressing. If you can afford to get them the individual dipping cups with the dressing then have the carrot and celery sticks, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. already prepared, then it's just a matter of having the veggies divided and ready to eat. If this takes too much out of your budget, then get some little paper cups or holiday treat holders that won't easily spill and spoon out from the jar.

Fruit and Yogurt is another great snack time combo. Cut the fruit into small pieces for dipping, and serve with vanilla yogurt "dip. Home made trail mix is another great idea. You can easily make it in bulk, use the ingredients you want, and then package it in a variety of fun containers. This is a treat that is healthy, delicious, and approved by most schools! Ingredients can include any dry, bite sized morsels, like cereals, raisins, crackers, or seeds. Adding a small amount of a "fun" item like M&Ms can make your snack mix more appealing-just watch out for poachers!

You can also mix up a batch of "Chex" party mix. The recipe should be right on the box of cereal and is usually made in bulk. Kids will love helping to make their own snack right in the classroom and all you need are fun containers to scoop it into!

Whatever you choose as a snack for the classroom, keep in mind that packaging is a big part of the fun. Look for inexpensive and creative ways to serve great classroom snacks!

This Construction Party Menu has Some Creative Recipe Ideas

!±8± This Construction Party Menu has Some Creative Recipe Ideas

Ah, construction, the foundation of the very house where the party to celebrate it is located. It is fairly easy to set up the decoration for a construction theme, a bunch of unused lumber, some hammer and nails, hard hats, overalls, and viola you're your house will scream under construction without even needing to remodel anything. The color orange with white stripes like the barrels, or the yellow of caution tape always go with construction as a theme. Some menu items that go with construction can either be creative to do with the theme or hearty and filling like would be eaten before setting to work.

A construction party menu can be for kids and adults since this is a suitable for any age theme. Don't hold yourself back as far as the tasty treats go and certainly try to be creative! Try starting off with some Rice Crispy Treat building blocks. Dye them red with red food coloring when making them and they'll look just like bricks. If you have the time you can create a fun and edible construction piece, like a building out of them. Another tasty treat is concrete pudding mix. Its yummy and you'll find the recipe later on in the article. Have a breakfast themed party for your construction party with some Linking Log Sausage links, Sunny Side Up Eggs, and Floor Board Texas Toast. Top it off with some Cement Sausage Gravy. All are made like normal, but have fun names for the party theme.

Concrete Pudding Mix is made for dessert or a great Construction party snack. You'll need; one white chocolate pudding mix, Oreo Cookie pieces and Dark Chocolate Chunks. Mix up the white chocolate pudding and place in the fridge to cool. To serve, place a layer of Oreo Cookie pieces in the bottom of a clear wine glass. On top of that place a layer of Dark Chocolate Chunks and finally fill to the top with White Chocolate Pudding. You can garnish your construction party treat with a whole Oreo Cookie or a sprig of mint.

After the party is over you may think it was a real construction zone if your guests are anything but the cleanest people on earth. So do yourself a big favor before hand and plan out how the cleaning will go when setting up the party. One of the most basic things to remember is disposables, such as paper plates that you don't have to wash.

Ten Fun and Creepy Halloween Party Snacks

!±8± Ten Fun and Creepy Halloween Party Snacks

It doesn't matter if you have a big family or if you're on your own... Halloween is one of the most fun holidays ever invented. But if you are a busy mom (and your house is the one house on the block where everyone goes for Halloween parties) you may be looking for some quick and easy Halloween party snacks to have ready for kids, visitors, guests, and freeloading adult friends during the Halloween season.

Looking for some new ideas for festive snacks that don't take a hundred years (or work your fingers to the bone) to put together? The ten Halloween party snack ideas below are lots of fun, simple to make... and some of them are even healthy!

1. Rotting Eyes and Severed Fingers

This is a very healthy but rather creepy Halloween party snack that makes good use of black olives and baby carrots. Arrange the black olives and baby carrots on a party tray with a bowl of your favorite dip (I like a cream cheese veggie dip). Inform your party guests that the tray is filled with rotting black eyes and severed fingers. And then watch this snack disappear. A good way to get your kids excited about veggies!

2. Jack o' Lantern Oranges

This healthy treat is so easy to make, and looks so pretty! Carve jack-o'-lantern faces into oranges and place on a platter. The kids will love it. And they can help, too, without ever having to pick up a knife. Have them simply draw the faces on with a black marker, and carve them yourself. Or don't worry about carving them-- they look just as good with faces drawn on.

As a variation of this fun Halloween party snack, I like to hollow out an orange with a Jack o' Lantern face and fill it with fruit salad. Healthy, easy and quick!

3. Easy Bugs in the Bone Yard

This is such a fun Halloween snack for the kiddos. All you have to do? Sprinkle raisins into a bowl full of white-chocolate covered pretzels. (You could also use chocolate covered raisins.) Kids will eat them up once they learn the name of this snack. Or they'd eat it up anyway, since this mix tastes divine.

4. Slimy Halloween Jigglers

You know those Jello jiggler molds? They work great for Halloween! Either use whatever you have lying around the house, or go out and pick up a brain or a heart-shaped Jello mold. Make up a batch of orange, black, purple, or flesh-colored Jello and pour into your mold(s). Or make a flat pan of Jello and cut out shapes with Halloween cookie cutters instead.

5. Ghost Cereal Bars

Prepare a batch of the Rice Krispies marshmallow treats recipe on the back of the cereal box. When the mixture has set up, cut out shapes with ghost shaped cookie cutter. Pour warm white frosting or melted white chocolate over the shapes to cover. Add M&M eyes and mouth. A delicious and easy Halloween party snack.

6. Green Gelatin Intestines

This is one of the grosser looking Halloween party snacks. Make lime gelatin and add pineapple bits, chopped marshmallows, sliced bananas and mandarin oranges. Pour gelatin mixture into an angel food cake pan and let set up. Invert pan to remove gelatin mold. Slice the mold horizontally into about 5 layers. Slice the layers in half and arrange on a platter in semi-circles to look like intestines. Gross!

7. Spooky Healthy Eyeballs

This Halloween party snack is both easy and healthy. Wash a bunch of green grapes. Insert a raisin into the stem end of the grapes and freeze them all until ready to serve.

8. Monster Crackers

Color some white vegetable spread or cream cheese with green food coloring and spread on your favorite crackers. Arrange small bits of green and red bell peppers to make a green-eyed, red-mouthed cracker monster. Use small amounts of broccoli sprouts to make the monster hair. A sneaky way to get kids eating their veggies.

9. Wormy Halloween Punch Recipe

No respectable Halloween party snack list would do with out having this squeamish punch. Just make green Kool-Aid and put in a clear glass punch bowl. Set the punch bowl on top of a glow necklace so the light shines through the punch bowl. Add some gummy worms and watch the kids squirm when they see it.

10. Vampire Blood

You use V8 juice for this one so it is healthier than the wormy punch above. Pour the V8 juice in a clear picture that you have labeled as "Vampire Blood." For an adult party, add the ingredients for a bloody Mary, if you like. For a kids' party, well... good luck getting them to try it. It is V8, after all!

Common Types of Cookies

!±8± Common Types of Cookies

Everyone loves home-baked cookies. Nothing is more welcoming than the smell of freshly baked cookies or the sight of them cooling on the counter. It's my favorite kind of aromatherapy.

Cookies have a long history, dating back to 7th Century Persia. By the 1800s, cookie recipes began appearing in cookbooks as 'small cakes.' In fact, the term 'cookie' comes from the Dutch word koekje or koekie which means little cake.

Recipes for cookies in a variety of styles and flavors increased in the early 1900s and continues today. Cookies are the most common treat baked in home kitchens and it's estimated that more than half of all home baked cookies are chocolate chip.

But there are a lot more kinds of cookies out there waiting to be baked. Most cookbooks classify them by how they are formed into the following categories or types of cookies:

Bar Cookies, Squares, or Pan Cookies
The quickest and easiest type of cookie to make. Batter or dough is pressed or spread into a pan and cut into bite-size pieces after baking. Brownies are the classic example of a batter-type bar cookie but they come in a variety of styles and flavors.

Drop Cookies
By far the most common type of homemade cookie created by dropping or pushing cookie dough from a teaspoon or tablespoon onto a prepared cookie sheet. Just mix, drop, bake, and enjoy -- definitely an easy cookie type. Popular examples of drop cookies include oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, and chocolate chip.

No Bake Cookies
Another easy cookie, no bakes don't require an oven. They are a great way to introduce kids to the fun of cookie making. Some of my favorite no bake cookie recipes include rice krispie bars, coconut date balls, rum balls, and peanut butter bars.

Ice Box or Refrigerator Cookies
Originally referred to as "ice box cookies," made from stiff dough that is refrigerated and usually formed into a cylinder before slicing and baking. Contemporary cookbooks may categorize refrigerator cookies as sliced or slice and bake cookies. You can keep a log of cookie dough in the refrigerator or freezer then slice, bake, and enjoy a warm, fresh from the oven, homemade cookie whenever a cookie craving strikes.

Shaped Cookies
These cookies are shaped by hand or with molds or extruded from a cookie press or pastry bag. Shortbread is a classic example of a hand shaped cookie. There are also lots of popular holiday "spritz" cookies that require a special cookie press.

Whichever type of cookie you choose to make, friends and family are sure to applaud your efforts.

Happy Father's Day Gifts

!±8± Happy Father's Day Gifts

My father is a great man and always loved gifts from the heart more than expensive gifts. If you have a great dad you want to give something special to here are some ideas.

I make soap and bath products so I made my dad a gift basket with some soap and bath oils in it. He likes the Oregon coast so I put scents like Ocean Breeze, China Rain and a cologne scent that he liked called Draakar. He has some arthritis in his back and knees so I made him a bath or massage oil with ingredients like lavender oil, olive oil and some other healing oils to relax the nerves in his joints. Lavender is also very calming so it helps with insomnia which my dad also has. You can also buy some soap and bath products along with picture frames, popcorn, etc to make your own gift basket for dad.

Homemade cookies is another thing my dad always loves. No bakes are easy and yummy. Here is a recipe Boil 2 c sugar, 1/2 c milk, 1 stick butter and 1/2 c cocoa over medium heat for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in 3 c quick oats, 1/2 c peanut butter and 1 tsp vanilla. Mix together and drop onto wax paper on cookie sheet. Let set for 1/2 an hour or so until firm. I forgot the sugar last time I made these and had to throw them out. They looked good but you need the sugar!

Rice Krispie Treats are another yummy easy treat. There are several good recipes online. I don't have mine with me now but they are really good. I went to Disneyland a couple of weeks ago and had a star shaped one with frosting. It was good but I would have made mine a little sweeter. The next time I make these I will use frosting. Canned or homemade frosting works well. You can use cookie cutters or a knife to make shapes like hearts or stars.

A self-portrait on a paper plate is another cute idea. I had the kids in Sunday school do this and they loved it. You can write I love you Dad on it or write the child's name on the back. You can draw everything on or get more creative. Use construction paper or yarn for hair, googly eyes and red yarn for mouth. The kid's faces were really cute. This is a craft for 3 and up. Little ones might want to eat the other stuff. Glue sticks work great for gluing things but if you use glitter you'll want to use something like Elmer's glue.

Father's Day cards are always nice. You can fold a square piece of construction paper and let the child write or draw something in it. You can use card stock too and get creative. Write I love you or make your own poem such as I have a cool Dad The best Dad that could ever be had And I'm so very glad That you are my Dad.

Decorating Xmas Trees With Cookies and Candy

!±8± Decorating Xmas Trees With Cookies and Candy

Decorating xmas trees with cookies and candy is a great way to give your tree that personal touch. It is creative and the results can be astounding in terms of their creative impact. Decorating an
artificial tree with baked goods is one way to make it look more homey and real. A slim christmas tree really looks great with decorations made out of slim wrapped candies. The snowy color of
shortbread confections also plays off nicely against any color of tree including the artificial white christmas tree.

Decorating xmas trees with food goes back to the times before Christ was born. Offerings of food were often placed along sills and windows to feed the good spirits and protect from the evil ones. The first
christmas trees were in fact imitations of the pyramid shape of real conifers. The custom of placing pickles and other foods on the steps of cedar pyramids of wood that were hand constructed was very common in Germany before the 16th century. It wasn't until Martin Luther came along and presented the upright tree that was brought indoors and lit with candles that we became familiar with the Christmas tree that we know today.

Using food as adornments on evergreen boughs is a time-honored tradition. Perhaps the strangest one is the German custom of hanging pickles on the tree. Today you can buy German ornaments made of glass that feature pickle cartoon characters wearing tiny Santa hats.

Decorating xmas trees with shortbread and ginger bread men is also a tradition that came out of Germanic and Slavic cultures. Of course today you can buy all kinds of different cookie cutters that
certainly pique one's creativity when it comes to making edible xmas decorations. Popular cookie cutter shapes are Christmas stockings, Santa, reindeer, presents and stars. However you could also decorate your tree with shortbread or gingerbread cut into any shape you like.

There are some really interesting novelty cookie cutters on the market including ones shaped like nativity scenes. One nice idea might be to decorate your tree with heart shaped cookies. You could
also make one very large angel, decorate it with edible gold and glitter and use it as a tree topper.

Decorating xmas trees with candies can be even more fun. You can hang single candies from a tree - such as lollipops and foil wrapped chocolates. Toffees wrapped in foil look especially nice on a tall
slim christmas tree. Candies can also be glued together in sunburst shapes to make interesting decorations or even strung together to make a long, shiny and delicious garland.

It is also very easy to make xmas tree decorations using pins and Styrofoam balls or backing. Simply spray the Styrofoam balls with green gold or silver and pin the candies so that they cover the
surface of the ball. A similar idea comes from Martha Stewart who does the same with gumdrops and miniature marshmallows. You could also use candied fruit. In fact one age old xmas decoration is the
oranges that is stuck with cloves and hung from the tree. In theory you could also use oranges as the base for any type of home made candy ornament.

One idea is to create a tree topper for your xmas tree using peppermint candy canes. This involves gluing them onto a round Styrofoam ball so that they radiate from the center in the circle. The same thing can be done with gumdrops on toothpicks and lollipops.

By the way, the candy cane is one of the most potent of Christmas symbols and it is actually a symbol of Jesus. A candy maker invented them in Indiana in the late 1800's. He came up with the idea of
bending a plain white peppermint stick. The color white symbolizes the purity and sinless nature of Jesus. The three small stripes to symbolize the pain Christ on the cross. The reason there are three is
because they represent the Holy Trinity. The one bold stripe represents the blood of Jesus. Right side up it looks like a shepherd's staff because Jesus is the shepherd of man. Upside down, it becomes the letter J symbolizing the first letter in Jesus' name. So candy canes are more than just pretty confections. They have quite a serious meaning.

When it comes to decorating xmas trees, one cannot say enough about popcorn. Popcorn is one of the most versatile of xmas tree decorations. Most traditional is the xmas tree garland that is strung
with the popped kernels. Popcorn balls that are dyed with food coloring also make very attractive christmas tree decorations. Left white, however, these popcorn balls look like snowballs hanging on
your tree.

Christmas tree garlands can also be made out of any kind of berries. Cranberries and holly berries (not edible!) make especially nice garlands because of their festive red color.

Some years, cereal companies also put out cereal in Christmas colors such as red and green. These types of cereals can also be made into shapes using a Rice Krispy Square recipe and hung by a thread.

Another unique idea is to decorate your christmas tree with homemade candy apples. These bright glossy red treats look absolutely fantastic, especially on a white or green tree. A nice compliment to
the color of the candy apples would be gold chocolate coins or foil covered chocolates in the shape of Santa also strung on the tree. A starburst of candy apples would make a stunning tree topper for a
slim christmas tree.

When decorating xmas trees with candy and baked goods remember that your success is only as limited as your imagination. If you are stuck for ideas, Martha Stewart's cookbooks are an excellent source of inspiration. You can also get great ideas on the Internet and by searching traditional xmas tree sites to get ideas about how these decorations are supposed to look.

Metabolic Typing - Interview

!±8± Metabolic Typing - Interview

I am very happy with the introduction and interview Sally Taylor, diet therapist and consultant metabolic typing how to go beyond the concept of individual access to food.

Why diet is important as metabolic typing therapists (mt)?

MT is essential for my practice. I use it as a starting point for all customers. I call myself a therapist, nutritionist diet as a contrast, because it is the enormous importance that comes to reflect on how to get the right diet. If customers areare willing to change their diet, there is no point in her consulting me. Everything else will still only nibble at the edges of the problem. I am not prepared for customers who really want to simply buy a list of supplements to take or avoid the food. This is an allopathic approach to nutrition - it treats the symptoms without correcting the underlying problems. Diet Therapy is a holistic approach that the body needs to build all this to ensure the health and vitality from the inside since. ManyThe people, the doctors realize, do not yet know that it is literally true that we eat what we do. The food is the raw material we consume more and build and repair and replace every cell of our body. It is a waste of money to spend a fortune on supplements or subscription to a gym during the processing of nutrient deficient and defective, plates continues!

Is there such a thing as a healthy diet?

Yes, absolutely, but not a standard, which could make the prescribedCouncil - the panacea everyone is looking for does not exist. The exact recipe is different for everyone, depending on the MT. The balance of the macro and micro nutrients needed by our body to function at optimum efficiency depends on our genetic heritage and individual stressors. There are clear principles that apply to everyone, but: eat organic, whole foods (as close to nature and as unprocessed as possible - which is just cooked, raw or lightly) to drink plenty of water, avoid toxins likehow to ensure that alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine, drugs, and to have sufficient daily doses of sunshine, fresh air, exercise, and 8 hours of night sleep quality.

What makes MT differs from Atkins, Zone, GI, low fat diets?

These diets work for some people sometimes, and some of the problems that contribute to weight gain or poor health in some people. The difference between these popular diets and MT is that MT is not a "diet" in the sense that there are usuallyWord. It is not something to be for a couple of weeks a few pounds, and then returns to old eating habits. It requires a commitment to a radical change of lifestyle.

Metabolic Typing is a clinical method to determine the correct staple food for customers, and the development and tightening the specific biochemical. Proper application, you can not "not" on the Metabolic Typing Diet, because it is actually a learning process that teaches clients to listen to the signals of their body andratio of carbohydrates, proteins and fats for their unique metabolism to adjust to adjust. A detailed individual nutritional needs are dependent on their respective interaction of genetics and environment.

In recent years, controlled-carb diets like Atkins, Zone and IM have become popular, even in spite of orthodox advice, why do the work for millions of people. The reason for this is that all of them, limiting the amount of carbohydrates consumed affected. MorePeople, including athletes and active kids eat too much carbohydrate in the form of processed, convenience foods. Even if they have already cut cakes, cookies, puddings, chocolate, etc., continue to fill what has been said healthy forms of carbohydrates such as breakfast cereals, bread, potatoes and pasta. It is simply not designed to eat carbs so much!

Research has found that the stabilization of blood sugar levels and reduced insulin productionimportant for health. We have two metabolic pathways to produce energy. What everyone is interested in the process of burning glucose as fuel. It is a very immediate source of energy, since they will be taken directly from our blood after it has arrived as a degradation product of all digestible carbohydrates, and in our cells as glycogen (the human equivalent of starch) are stored. Once the cells and glycogen stores, primarily in the liver and muscles, however, fully with the requirements of glucose to glycerol and fatty acids are converted and combined to form triglycerides. This is the substance produced by body fat. Triglycerides are made in fat cells to store energy. However, the fact that is often overlooked, we can and we must also with fatty acids to produce energy, but we can not burn the fat stores of blood sugar or insulin levels are high, so are fairly constant for many people.

As for diets low in fat, been recommended by governments and the medical profession to reduce obesity and heart disease for more than 30 years, time has shown that they are not for most of the work. Were adopted in the three decades following treatments such as official policy of the United States and the United Kingdom we have seen a huge increase in the incidence of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. These concepts are described in detail in the New Diet "explores Dr. Atkins 'revolution' - a book that I recommend you all read with interest in their healthwith its lesser-known title of "Dr. Atkins' Age-Defying Diet Revolution".

I have great respect for Dr. Robert Atkins. It 'been reading his books I brought my health problems, weight gain was (I was 3 stone overweight), fatigue and pain to fix his knee. My parents are both type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular problems and severe arthritis of the knee, so clearly I am at a disadvantage in these genetic regions! Now, with 46-years, my weight, I struggledwith all of my life is perfect to build my own, I have more energy than I ever had, and no health problems. My experience with the Atkins diet 'led me to formally study nutrition, and through this I discovered metabolic typing, which means I need a high protein / fat, low carbohydrate diet, as if I am a fast oxidizer confirmed.

MT explains why the Atkins diet 'does not work for everyone, but throughout the recovery and preservation of their health problems should be aware of the scientific principleson which it rests. Basically, I have to hold another type of Atkins diet today, but part of the changes I have learned from MT. I'm sure the vast majority of my food is organic and not treated, and I avoid soy products - in fact, a cave-man style diet.

So why is not known as MT or how these popular diets?

MT is rapidly gaining popularity. It is recommended by many reputable, high-profile sponsors and practitioners of holistic health andintegrated medicine - such as Paul Chek, Dr. Joseph Mercola, Dr. Dietrich Hardt Kling, Dr. Etienne Callebout, and the team "what the doctors are not Tell You." But it is primarily as a clinical application, rather than become a popular "diet".

'The Metabolic Diet "book was written by typing William Wolcott to fill a gap. And' for those who want a simplified version of self-help approach. It allows those who can not afford to start the services of a consultant Typing synergy in metabolicto correct the path of their health problems. If finances are tight, I suggest that customers buy the book and the song of the Atkins' and see what they do on their own first

MT is difficult to follow, difficult or impractical for the average person?

The beauty of MT is not following a strict diet daily sheet. It's clear guidelines, what happens if an optimal diet for you. Once you understand your best foods to eat, it is second nature toYour MT. It is not something to survive for a couple of weeks before they can return to their previous habits - is a change of lifestyle. It teaches you how to listen to your body and respond to their messages. And that's what we do to make sure we have a healthy diet to normal, to integrate the daily routine.

MT is a person in stone? Or it can with the circumstances, if so the change, when?

There are two aspects to our metabolic type - Genetic our way through the prescribedinternal factors that are inherited - and our functional art, and from which liquid is influenced by external factors. These are all physical and psychological stressors, in fact, such as environmental (eg climate, pollution, toxins), disease activity, and eat.

Obviously we can not change our genes, what we do with the MT is set up our influence on our type of biochemical and functional. A repetition of MT after your prescribed diet plan for 3-6 months is recommended onlybecause their functional imbalances were corrected, and another may reveal the underlying genetic type. If you continue to follow the original plan, you may find that your body chemistry has gone too far in the opposite direction.

All carbohydrates are the same thing?

Absolutely not! This is a very important point, Craig. The type of carbohydrates we eat really the key to a healthy diet or not. In essence, the difference lies in that the carb must be mistaken! Thecooler is the closest to nature, the more it can only come from a tree or the soil is, the healthier is the carb. In fact, this principle applies to all the macronutrients (ie carbohydrates, fats, proteins), but it is carbohydrates that process go to hell, and eat in huge quantities (because it is cheap, pretty, and has an addictive quality, absolutely contrary to the fat and protein)! The raw material is cheap and processed immediately, store the finished products for a long time, andTherefore, very profitable for producers of food and very convenient for the consumer.

But these highly processed, convenience foods are not real food. They do not look like something that appears in nature - are the food of Frankenstein! Real food is fast, the fake food lasts longer! When processed, most of the quality (micronutrients such as vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and fiber) are destroyed or abandoned, and the natural sugar contentconcentrated. Preservatives, colorings, flavorings, etc. added - and you end up with a relatively cheap, filling, with a quality of dependence, with no nutritional value. For example, brown rice is perfectly healthy, natural foods. Until something like Rice Krispies are or have been rice cake is on, then removed all the kindness and concentrates the sugar content. Then there is a huge 84% carbohydrates - and this is all converted into glucose, what a huge hit blood sugar immediately after eating (just in total carbohydrates-box look at the nutrition panel on packaged foods). Other examples include fresh oranges than orange juice, corn-on-the-cob corn flakes contrast, strawberry / blueberry / apple Fruit Winders vs. Kellogg (a product popular in children's lunchboxes), boiled potatoes slightly compared to the chip. Flows in fact in our stores of nutrients the body to process this stuff, so the manufacturerBreakfast cereals have vitamins and minerals to add it.

To illustrate this concept, fueled a famous experiment, a group of rats from breakfast cereals, and another group on the empty cereal boxes. The large group of cells survived the large group of cereal! I think the details of this product in a listed www.mercola.com Paul Chek

In summary, we have to get most of our carbohydrates from fruits and vegetables in their naturalexcellent condition, with some whole grain, when you can take your special MT. This is what we have developed to eat - not the wrong things from packages! No one needs bread or pasta - despite public opinion and medical foods are NOT healthy!

How long it usually takes for a person to make significant differences in terms of known energy, and the glory, if you eat well known for their metabolic typing?

It can be as little as three days notice, significant improvement, but certainly two weeks, many people feel like a new person! The longer you continue to eat the MT (and do not forget what to recommend a change of lifestyle, not 2 weeks "diet" bland), the better you feel, the stronger your body is healthier and more. In short, you regain control of their emotions, hormones, weight and health.

Then people can react differently to vitamins and minerals if they react differently toMacronutrients? Rules?

Yes, very. Are added to foods affect our pH balance and other aspects of body chemistry, depending on your MT. With the results of intermediate tests that must be provided with a list of MT professionals supplements, body chemistry slide in the right direction available. And 'complicated, but as an example, quality control systems have almost need more calcium, while slow emission control systems need more magnesium. There are a number of special supplementsdeveloped to support the three basic MTs. However, I usually advise customers to obtain the right diet so that you can focus, then it can be considered later additions, by adding them to solve specific health problems when required. But, I must stress the fact that food is always true that we have in our body three times a day - which is about a thousand times a year, is the most important factor!

Metabolic Typing as advisor and health professionals, what do you think is behind ourcurrent state of poor health record and obesity?

Lifestyles of the 21 st century is the problem. I could on this for hours! But it is probably best to read all the 'Lights Out' by TS Wiley recommends that looks deep. This explains why our hormones are out of whack, because it overloads the immune system, because we are obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, etc., etc.

From a nutritional standpoint, the problem that we as a society is totally dependentConvenience - which means carbohydrates. We all lead busy lives with work and family obligations, and say that we do not have time to buy fresh food and prepare meals from scratch. But this mentality is killing us! The man did not evolve to live - sometimes carbohydrates in the cave man was poor, especially in northern climates. They were more frequent in warmer climates, but not in large quantities that we have available now. With the advent of agriculture 10,000 years ago, our foodHabits began to change, and in the last 100 years unrecognizable. Common Western diet of today is disproportionate to what our grandparents ate as children.

We have sight of what real food is lost. We need to re-education. Jamie Oliver's campaign is right on the button. Our children do not know that chips come from potatoes, broccoli looks like or what!
